HP LSA Conducts UL & UASL Inspections in Shimla to Ensure Regulatory Compliance

The Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Shimla successfully conducted Unified License (UL) inspection of Tata Communications Ltd. and Unified Access Service License (UASL) inspection of Tata Teleservices Ltd. at Shimla on January 28, 2026.

The inspections were carried out as part of routine regulatory oversight to ensure strict adherence to license conditions, security guidelines, and quality of service standards prescribed by the Department of Telecommunications.

During the inspection, the technical and compliance teams verified network infrastructure, statutory records, lawful interception systems, security compliance parameters, and other operational aspects. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring seamless continuity of telecom services for consumers and maintaining national security compliance standards.

Officials from HP LSA reiterated that such inspections are conducted periodically to strengthen transparency, enhance service reliability, and ensure that telecom service providers operate in accordance with the Unified License and UASL provisions.

The Department emphasized its continued commitment to safeguarding consumer interests, ensuring uninterrupted telecom connectivity, and maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance across the state.
