UP (West) LSA is working hard towards the objective and mission of providing connectivity to all for bridging the gap of Digital divide through high-speed broadband services supported by USOF programme Like 4G saturation, Bharat Net projects etc. The LSA is actively enabling every stakeholder for providing connectivity to uncovered and far-flung area thereby playing a pivotal role in the extraordinary growth of Telecom Sector. It is expected from LSA to regulate the exponential growth by ensuring that all the stakeholder play their part in controlled manner and play by the Rule book. LSA is continuously pursuing with state authorities for faster approval of RoW permissions to all the TSPs for smooth and seamless rollout of 5G services.

LSA is expected to create conducive business environment for facilitating the growth of sector. LSA under Department of Telecom is striving to play the role of an enabler for the growth of the telecommunications sector and thereby, that of the digital economy. UPW LSA is fully committed towards its duties.

Recent Achievement

Illegal Telecom Set up Busted in Dehradun Uttarakhand, UPW LSA

Based on the input from RICWIN portal, Security Vertical of UP West LSA, Meerut identified the suspected location of an illegal telecom setup operating in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Subsequently, the raid was conducted yesterday by the STF and officers of DoT UPW LSA, Dehradun unit in presence of representatives of TSP and ISP to unearth the illegal telecom setup working in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was found -that a broadband connection of 50 Mbps bandwidth frorn an ISP was used with SIP based PRl connections (500 channels) of M/s BSNL. This illegal telecom setup was used to terminate international VOIP calls to local Indian mobile/land-line numbers. One person is arrested and FIR has been registered. Few pics of raid are attached
