DoT Conducts PoS Inspection and Awareness Drive at Daulatpur, Una
A joint Point of Sale (PoS) inspection of M/s Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) was conducted on 16.04.2026 at Daulatpur in District Una by the Security and Compliance Team of Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA), Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
During the inspection, officials reviewed compliance procedures related to telecom subscriber verification and customer onboarding processes. The PoS representatives were briefed about the objectives of the inspection and were sensitized regarding various provisions of the Indian Telecom Act, 2023.
The inspection team emphasized the importance of strict adherence to telecom regulations, customer verification norms, and responsible handling of telecom resources to prevent misuse of telecom services. Officials also highlighted the role of PoS agencies in ensuring transparency and maintaining the integrity of the telecom ecosystem.
The awareness initiative was aimed at strengthening compliance mechanisms and enhancing understanding of regulatory obligations among telecom service providers and their authorized PoS personnel.
