An awareness session on Call Before U Dig (CBuD) App was held on 22.01.2026 at the O/o GM, BSNL Bhavan, Warangal. The event saw active participation from Telecom Service Providers (BSNL, RJIL,Airtel, VIL), BSNL CNTX, TGNPDCL, the Municipal Corporation, and NHAI.
Sh. D Bhaskara Rao, ITS, highlighted the critical importance of CBuD for all utility asset owners, sharing current statistics on enquiry volumes and the risks associated with unreported excavations. Sh. S Anand Kumar, ITS, provided a detailed overview of the responsibilities held by both excavators and asset owners regarding the posting and acknowledgment of digging enquiries. Additionally, Sh. N Satyanarayana, ITS, presented the features of the Sanchar Saathi Portal, urging TSPs to play a proactive role in preventing cyber fraud by educating subscribers during SIM card sales. The session concluded with a comprehensive Q&A and a request for participants to increase their utilization of the CBuD app.
