Unified License ISP Category ‘C’ Issued to M/s Shachwal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for Kullu SSA
Under the guidance of the Additional Director General of Telecommunications (Addl. DGT), Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) issued a Unified License (UL) ISP Category ‘C’ to M/s Shachwal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. on 11 December 2025 for the Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) Secondary Switching Area (SSA).
The issuance of the license marks a significant step towards strengthening internet and broadband services in the Kullu region, contributing to improved digital connectivity and supporting the objectives of the Digital India initiative.
During the interaction, representatives of the ISP were comprehensively briefed on key regulatory and operational aspects, including internet security requirements, Telecom Tariff Plan (TTP) compliance, and important citizen-centric initiatives such as Sanchar Saathi. The representatives were also sensitized about the PM-WANI scheme, which aims to promote the proliferation of public Wi-Fi hotspots and enhance affordable internet access, especially in rural and remote areas.
The HP LSA reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating the expansion of reliable and secure telecom services across Himachal Pradesh while ensuring adherence to licensing conditions and regulatory frameworks.

Hybrid workshop for BSNL Telangana officers on the Call Before U Dig (CBuD) application on 31-12-25
On December 31, 2025, the Rural Team of AP LSA, Hyderabad, hosted a hybrid workshop for BSNL Telangana officers on the Call Before U Dig (CBuD) application. The session was attended by 13 officials in person and 60 online from various OA’s including circle office.
Sh. A Sravan Kumar, ITS, Director (Rural), emphasized the App’s role in safeguarding underground assets. Stressed the need for increased enquiry counts and the mandatory handover of CBuD credentials during staff transfers. Highlighted the Telecommunications Act, 2023, noting that posting enquiries is mandatory and failure to do so involves compensation liabilities. Practical challenges raised by BSNL were recorded for higher-level review and immediate queries were addressed. BSNL Officers were instructed to post all upcoming digging activities and proactively report asset damage caused by third-party excavations not disclosed through the app.
