DoT HP LSA Conducts ISP-UL Inspection of Rural Broadband Pvt. Ltd. in Dharamshala

Dharamshala, March 12, 2026: Under the able guidance of Additional Director General Telecom (Addl. DGT), Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA), an ISP–Unified License (ISP-UL) inspection of M/s Rural Broadband Pvt. Ltd. was successfully conducted at Dharamshala in District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on March 12, 2026.

The inspection was carried out by Shri Ravi Chhawal, Director (Technology), and Shri Ramesh Kumar, Assistant Director (Technology), as part of the Department of Telecommunications’ ongoing efforts to ensure adherence to licensing conditions and maintain the quality and continuity of telecom services in the region.

During the inspection, the team reviewed the operational and regulatory compliance of the service provider in accordance with the provisions of the Unified License (UL) framework. The exercise aimed to verify that the licensed services are being provided as per the prescribed guidelines and standards set by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Such inspections are a routine regulatory measure undertaken by DoT to strengthen monitoring mechanisms, promote transparency, and ensure reliable telecom and broadband connectivity for users across the country, particularly in rural and remote areas.

The inspection reaffirmed the department’s commitment to maintaining robust telecom infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted broadband services for citizens in Himachal Pradesh.
