HP LSA Holds Meeting with Jal Shakti Vibhag on Awareness and Popularization of CBuD App
On 29.12.2025, Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA) of the Department of Telecommunications held a meeting with the Secretary, Jal Shakti Vibhag Himachal Pradesh to discuss awareness and wider adoption of the CBuD (Call Before u Dig) App among officials and stakeholders of the Jal Shakti Vibhag.
During the meeting, officers of HP LSA briefed the Secretary about the objectives and benefits of the CBuD app, which is aimed at preventing damage to underground utility infrastructure by ensuring coordination before any excavation or digging activity. Emphasis was laid on the importance of using the app by field officials, contractors, and other stakeholders associated with water supply and sewerage works.
The discussion focused on strategies for popularizing the CBuD app within the department through awareness programmes, training sessions, and integration into routine operational practices. The Secretary appreciated the initiative and assured cooperation in disseminating information about the app to concerned officials and field functionaries across the state.
The meeting highlighted the collaborative efforts of HP LSA and Jal Shakti Vibhag towards promoting safe excavation practices, protecting critical infrastructure, and enhancing inter-departmental coordination for efficient public service delivery in Himachal Pradesh.
