HP LSA Conducts IP-1 Inspection at Shimla to Ensure Compliance and Infrastructure Readiness

Under the able guidance of Addl. DGT-cum-Advisor, HP LSA, the Technology Vertical of HP LSA carried out an IP-1 inspection of M/s Kanwar Soham Telecommunication Pvt. Ltd. at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on 06.02.2026. The inspection was undertaken as part of the Department of Telecommunications’ continued efforts to ensure adherence to regulatory norms and licensing conditions by Infrastructure Providers (IP-1).

During the inspection, the team verified compliance with IP-1 registration conditions and examined key infrastructure components, documentation, and operational procedures. Particular focus was placed on assessing infrastructure readiness and ensuring that the passive telecom infrastructure meets prescribed technical standards.

The officials also reviewed safety measures, maintenance protocols, and service quality aspects to ensure reliable and uninterrupted support to Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) operating in the region. The exercise reflects HP LSA’s proactive approach toward strengthening the telecom ecosystem in Himachal Pradesh.

Such regulatory inspections contribute significantly to transparency, quality assurance, and the development of robust digital infrastructure across the state.
