HP LSA Conducts CBuD Workshop for BharatNet and Partner Agencies

The Himachal Pradesh Licensed Service Area (HP LSA) of the Department of Telecommunications conducted a CBuD (Centralized Billing and Usage Data) workshop on 03 December 2025 for teams from BharatNet, ITI, PIA, BSNL and other associated agencies.

The workshop witnessed active participation from more than 76 attendees, representing various implementation and operational units involved in BharatNet and related projects.

During the session, participants were briefed on the benefits, functionalities, and mandatory use of the CBuD application. The workshop aimed to enhance awareness and ensure uniform adoption of the platform across all stakeholder organisations for improved monitoring, reporting and service delivery.

The initiative reflects HP LSA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure and streamline operational processes through capacity-building and effective coordination among partner agencies.

Hybrid workshop for BSNL Telangana officers on the Call Before U Dig (CBuD) application on 31-12-25

On December 31, 2025, the Rural Team of AP LSA, Hyderabad, hosted a hybrid workshop for BSNL Telangana officers on the Call Before U Dig (CBuD) application. The session was attended by 13 officials in person and 60 online from various OA’s including circle office.

Sh. A Sravan Kumar, ITS, Director (Rural), emphasized the App’s role in safeguarding underground assets. Stressed the need for increased enquiry counts and the mandatory handover of CBuD credentials during staff transfers. Highlighted the Telecommunications Act, 2023, noting that posting enquiries is mandatory and failure to do so involves compensation liabilities. Practical challenges raised by BSNL were recorded for higher-level review and immediate queries were addressed. BSNL Officers were instructed to post all upcoming digging activities and proactively report asset damage caused by third-party excavations not disclosed through the app.
