DoT Releases Compilation on Illegal Telecom Setups Busted Across India
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) released a comprehensive report titled “Compilation on Illegal Telecom Setups Busted by LSAs and LEAs (01.04.2025 – 30.09.2025)” during the North Zone Security Conference held on 6th November 2025.
This curated booklet highlights key seizures, investigations, and enforcement actions undertaken by Licensed Service Areas (LSAs) and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) across the country against illegal telecom operations. The compilation showcases coordinated efforts that have led to the dismantling of several unauthorized communication networks involved in fraudulent and unlawful activities.
Senior officials from DoT emphasized that the report reflects the Department’s continued vigilance and proactive measures to safeguard the integrity of India’s telecom infrastructure. It also aims to serve as a valuable reference for future enforcement actions and inter-agency collaboration to curb telecom-related frauds and security threats.
