UP (East) LSA conducted extensive awareness campaigns on the Sanchar Saathi Portal/App at prominent public locations such as GPO Park, Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Saharaganj Mall, and other areas, informing citizens about its usage and benefits.

The Additional Director General held discussions with the Mela Officer regarding telecom network augmentation, disaster management preparedness, Wi-Fi facilities, and use of satellite phones during Magh Mela–2026. Parallel discussions were held with the Vice Chairman, UPSDMA, and GOC, MB Area, Jabalpur, on ensuring reliability of telecom networks. UP State Disaster Management Authority (UP SDMA) organized a two-day symposium at Prayagraj for 26 districts, focusing on awareness related to crowd management, drowning incidents, cold waves, and fire safety. Officers from UP (East) and UP (West) LSAs participated under the leadership of the Additional Director General.

Under the leadership of the Additional Director General, a team comprising DDG–R2, DDG–R1, DIR–R1, and DIR–T/Observer (ABP) visited the BSNL State Network Operations Centre (SNOC), Lucknow. The team reviewed Block Router Integration and Network Management Systems under the Revised BharatNet Programme. It was informed that all 588 blocks would be integrated with SNOC shortly. 

For the National Jamboree, two Cells on Wheels (CoW) were installed by Indus Towers Limited to strengthen network connectivity. The CoWs were inaugurated by Shri Arun Kumar Verma, Additional Director General, ensuring robust telecom support for the event. 

A meeting of the Uttar Pradesh State Broadband Committee was held to discuss key telecom-related issues. The Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, directed effective implementation of the New RoW Rules–2024 and resolution of issues related to the BharatNet Project. Matters concerning the RoW portal, forest clearances, and coordination with the Energy Department were also reviewed. Implementation of RoW Rules–2024 was specifically directed for Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway

Shri Arun Kumar Verma, Additional Director General, participated in a vigilance programme chaired by Shri A.S. Rajeev, Vigilance Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission. During the deliberations, he highlighted the role of telecommunications in financial inclusion and emphasized the importance of Financial Fraud Risk Indicators (FRI) in combating financial frauds. 

On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the National Song “Vande Mataram”, officers and staff of UP (East) LSA, Lucknow paid tribute through collective rendition of Vande Mataram, honoring the spirit of national unity and patriotism. 

UP (East) LSA organized Painting, Quiz, and Slogan Competitions at Bhartiya Balika Vidyalaya, Hazratganj, Lucknow. A Walkathon was also conducted with participation from students and teachers to spread awareness on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, fostering values of integrity and accountability among young citizens.
