4th Task Force Meeting on Cybersecurity and Telecom Misuse Held in HP LSA
Shimla, 26 February 2026 — Under the able guidance of Addl DGT HP LSA, the 4th Task Force Meeting was successfully conducted today, bringing together all key stakeholders to discuss pressing issues related to cybersecurity and telecom misuse.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation highlighted citizen-centric initiatives undertaken by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), along with insights into Fraud Risk Indicators and emerging trends in cybercrime.
Stakeholders engaged in comprehensive discussions on strategies to curb the misuse of telecom resources for cybercrime and financial frauds. Emphasis was placed on the importance of coordinated efforts among regulatory authorities, service providers, and law enforcement agencies, alongside public awareness campaigns to strengthen cyber vigilance.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to ensure safe and secure telecom services, and to proactively address the evolving challenges in cybercrime prevention.
