About Mumbai LSA

Mumbai LSA is the field office of Department of Telecommunications for Mumbai Licensed Service Area having its headquarter at Mumbai. The name of the city, Mumbai is derived from patron deity the mother Godess Mumba Devi, worshiped by the earliest inhabitants the Kolis. The Mumbai city is capital of Maharashtra State and is also known as financial capital of India as it has significant financial institutions, like Reserve Bank of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock exchange etc. Further, corporate headquarters of prominent Indian and multinational companies are located in Mumbai city. The culture of Mumbai is a combination of tradition, religions, cuisines, music and fine arts. Termed as “The City that never sleeps” , it is one of the busiest cities in India.

Mumbai LSA is headed by Additional Director General Telecom, a HAG level officer.
There are approximately 4.38 Crore telecom subscribers and around 19225 telecom sites covering 57200 Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in Mumbai LSA.
