Himachal Pradesh LSA (HP LSA) consists of State of Himachal Pradesh having Headquarters at Shimla. It is headed by Additional Director General Telecom, Group ‘A’ officer of Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) having office at Headquarters.

Himachal Pradesh LSA has area of approximately 55,673 Sq Km, with population of 68.64 Lakhs (as per census 2011).  The state has International Border spanning 200 km with China.

HP LSA primarily focuses on Licensing Compliance, Network Coverage, Security of telecom networks, improving rural telecom connectivity and Quality of Service, facilitating technology proliferation, enforcement of telecom policy regulations and coordination with the State Governments on Telecom related aspects etc.

The LSA has 12 districts with total 20,852 villages out of which 19, 931 villages are covered by Mobile services (2G/3G/4G). The LSA has 1,06,61,397 subscriber base.
