Message from TN LSA head

Tamil Nadu Licensed Service Area (TN LSA) of the Department of Telecommunications, one of the 22 Licensed Service Areas (LSAs) of India, traces its origin to the erstwhile Vigilance and Telecom Monitoring Cell (VTMC), Chennai, which was established by DoT on 15th November, 2004, as one of the earliest four VTM Cells that covered entire India, for representing Licensor / Telegraph Authority in the field. Since inception, the roles and functions of this field office, which was initially created to address the issues arising from an increase in illegal / clandestine telecom operations, has been vastly enriched by reorganizing and setting up, as an integrated setup headed by an HAG+ Level (Advisor / Special DGT) officer with five Verticals covering Service Compliance, Security, Technology, Rural and Administration areas.
