About Maharashtra LSA

Maharashtra LSA consists of State of Maharashtra and Union Territory of Goa, excluding areas covered by Mumbai Metro. The LSA has headquarters at Pune and has 2 more offices, one at Nagpur and other at Goa. It is headed by Additional Director General Telecom, Group ‘A’ officer of Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) having office at Headquarters.

Maharashtra LSA is a field unit of O/o DGT, DoT New Delhi and responsible for monitoring the obligations and compliance to license conditions, roll-out obligations by TSPs/ISPs/IPs including EMF radiation limits. Mumbai LSA is also responsible for ensuring TSPs/ISPs adherence to national security laws.

The LSA has total 44,323 villages out of which 40,697 villages are covered by Mobile services (2G/3G/4G). The LSA has 11,69,48,796 subscriber base.
